Every year WordPress just gets stronger and stronger; with 2011 being no exception. Ok maybe it is an exception because in the last few months WordPress has doubled the amount of websites it powers to 14.7% of the top million websites on the web. That’s quite a staggering number. We also participated in a survey done by WordPress last month where 18 000 WordPress developers/designers from around the world responded. It’s awesome to see the growth in the African continent.
This has been an exciting year for WordPress. We’ve grown to power 14.7% of the top million websites in the world, up from 8.5%, and the latest data show 22 out of every 100 new active domains in the US are running WordPress.
This bodes well for any of our clients because right now the WordPress community is bigger than ever. More importanly we, as a WordPress design and development company, have tons of resources at our disposal which are growing daily.
